Hello and Welcome to IRSC,
Congratulations on taking the first step toward achieving your goal!
I have truly enjoyed helping students at IRSC since joining the faculty in 2014 as an Academic Counselor. My background and training is in school counseling and educational psychology. Prior to joining IRSC I worked as a guidance counselor in Martin County, Florida. I also spent several years as an academic advisor at my alma mater, the University of Utah, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Master's Degree in Educational Psychology. Most recently, I completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands.
I decided to become a school counselor because of a special teacher who touched my life and helped me achieve more than I thought I could. I realize how important it is to have someone to help you to navigate your way through the educational system and encourage you when you encounter those inevitable obstacles. Whether you have chosen to pursue a certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree, my goal is to help make your educational journey as smooth as possible.
I look forward to working with you!
